Reel songs and music

Live on Jan. 14 at 9 p.m. EDT, words and music. Songs and melodies you know and may love or hate may never have been written were it not for movies. Since movies offered sound, music has been one of their vital elements. On this show we hear songs generated by the production of film history and we hear and talk about some of the newest, including those that become nominated for Oscars as announced today. Learn how pop culture has merged into a part of our lives and hear many stories about music in the movies.
