Eye for an eye

As a public service to our listeners, here is a free eye examination. It should establish if you see well. If you don't pass the test, chances are you don't see well. And if you don't see well, you may need corrective lenses. If you get mistaken lenses you will not see well enough. Do not judge this test as a diagnosis. If you fail this test, see an eye doctor. Never, however, trust an eye doctor who cannot look you in the eye or who swears he sees a parrot on your shoulder. Good luck on the test. (Stand a few feet away from the computer screen, cover one eye and read the letters aloud. Do not count the dots inbetween the letters. If you cover both eyes and see the letters at all, you automatically pass.)

Conventional talk

Quietly, sometime in September, a group of people met in California for the 2006 Podcast and Portable Media Expo. It was explained to be "the only industry event that brings together influential podcasters, video bloggers and digital media creators to cover the complete range of creation techniques, business objectives and future trends."

So who the hell was there and why? Curt Brandao, the Digital Slob and syndicated columnist, was there and reports on the legitimacy and the lunacy of a convention that defies convention.

Bloodwork

Health is an important issue, if only because it concerns the continuation of your life. As listeners know, staying fluid has always been an important topic of our program and is emphasized weekly.

But when you come down to it, or bring it up, or whatever direction you care to go, the blood is what matters in the human body. Without it, there is rarely a case of movement. This is why today this blog is devoted to "cholesterol." Please visit the links in this text and make an appointment to get your blood checked for your overall cholesterol level, your HDL level, your LDL level and why you should learn to correctly spell corpuscle.

Monday rumor mill

GRANTVILLE, Penn. -- Sources at the offices of Cotolo Chronicles have issued a denial about any connection between the host of the show and Charlize Theron. The rumor is based on the results of a Google search for images of Cotolo which link to a foreign movie-fan page (click here) featuring the Oscar-winning star (pictured).

The buzz began on Monday morning when an alleged number of alleged people began searching Google for photos of Cotolo and came up with the website featuring Theron. Tabloid-press reporters immediately jumped to conclusions and at least five of them were injured when landing.

Phone tag

You got one of those state-of-the-art cell phones? Download Cotolo Chronicles.

After you download it, listen to it inbetween calls. Use the show as your call-waiting noise. If you would like me to record a special message, one so custom-made that only you can use it, email me from this blog.

I have hundreds of operators waiting to read, answer and respond to emails (see photo on left; individuals' names upon request, but here is a clue, more than five of them are named Lee). They are the result of outsourcing and come cheaply, but it all adds up as time goes by, so get in touch with me today.

Chip off the ole Brock

Politics, but not the same old same old. Brock LaRobb is on the Oct. 19 show with a unique look at how "politics have infiltrated decadence in America." This is just the starting point, however. It will branch out to everything we come up during tonight's conversation, with spontaneous content, as usual.

Past neo-post time parade

Something is happening and it's time we took at look at it.

Postmodernism is morphing from a style into a condition, it is becoming a boundary-blurring vehicle of expression, an artistic state of consciousness. It threatens to become a lifestyle.

That sounds heavy and dry, but on our Oct. 12 program you will easily understand that the New Postmodernism is light and saucy, bright and enlightening. And it affects your life to no end. Wake up, it is night!

On with the shows

Never rehearsed but always prepared, we go into the October, Y2K+6 quartet of programs with our first of the month--a traditional two-hour solo performance. As is tradition, the program is improvised and non-sanitized. It is news, information and untouched by spooky forces.

You can be sure that you will enjoy your beverage(s) of choice and have plenty to write in your notebook. (On right, photo of rejected notes and scripts for the program.)
