Ain't that a trip in the head

The first hour of the Feb. 28 show will be a satirical tribute to the origins of progressive-rock radio. In 1967 FM stations began to drop classical-music formats, replacing them with a hip, “meaningful music” soundscape where the DJ donned a near-guru personality to engine the train of musical thought. Any recording was fit for a show as long as it was part of the theme, though many times the theme itself was a stream of consciousness. Turn on and tune in the first hour with “Frank Michaels” and a trip into the head of your soul, man. Then, join our usual host for the second hour, a review of Rolling Stone’s 30 greatest rock ‘n roll movie moments.

Brought to you by 'Molotov Memoirs,' the digital version, now at Blurb, onlu $3.99 and 'Licence To Skill,' first release in digital format at Amazon, only $2.99.
