'The sun also rises' is a catchphrase that comes from the Bible, in Ecclesiastes. It means humans are a small and ephemeral part of a larger world. The sun keeps rising and setting and will long after we are dead and gone. Along the route of our lifespan, however, we see huge changes, great paradigm shifts, as one generation passes the torch to another. So it is that the role of doctor has changed as times have changed and that is the detail our host covers in the Aug. 16 two-hour journey through the heart.
