It’s the anniversary of Buddy Holly’s funeral, he and others having died in a plane crash in Iowa (see photo lower right). The death of this iconic figure is a milestone in pop-culture history on many levels. In the new millennium the Buddy Holly story is a blatant metaphor that should haunt Americans and inspire neo-post modernists.
