Charles in charge

Charles Dennis (pictured), actor, writer, director and producer, began his career at eight on the Canadian radio series Peter and the Dwarf. At 17 he became Canada's youngest film and theater critic, for the Toronto Telegram. He made his film debut as a soldier in Patton (1970). His novels include Shar-Li, The Dealmakers, Bonfire, Stoned Cold Soldier and Given the Crime. He is the force behind the new, National Lampoon movie release Hard Four, and appears on the Aug. 19 show with actors Ross Benjamin and and his mother, movie-legend Paula Prentiss.
