The 'Eggs' and I
WASHINGTON, D.C. -- In a rare moment of select candidness, Pope Benedict was seen whispering to the host of our show at his White House visit on April 16. As festivities ensued, the Pope leaned over, said something to Cotolo --who had been in town for business and dropped by to see the pontiff.
Later, Cotolo told this blog exclusively that the Pope --who listens to Cotolo Chronicles on his iPod-- asked if Cotolo could do anything about the fact that many people in Washington were being overly casual, calling the Pope "Eggs." Cotolo said he would do what he could to stop it, though insisting that nothing disrespectful is truly meant by using the nickname.
