We're just going through a phrase
Thom Savino returns for another two-hour stint with his former partner, our host, and the pair delve into the origins of things we say every day in the English language. Many people are unaware they quote Shakespeare often or that they express themselves with terms borne of military life and other cultures distant to their lifestyles. As usual, the team of Thom and Frank joke, jolt, jam and jest through it all for your entertainment. Thursday Dec. 19. Listen, live, at 9 p.m. EST.

Son of a sequel
Hollywood’s goal to find movie franchises is not new but “never has the impulse to wring more something out of nothing been so craven and commonplace as it is right,” according to EW magazine. Hollywood’s primary gimmick to reap profits is to find a franchise. But even a great movie can fail to support a sequel, no less a series. On the Dec. 12 show we look at a reviewers’ list of the 25 worse sequels. Not everyone will agree but that makes it more fun. Join our host as he reaches for his own experience in the city built by the motion-picture industry and covers the list with dead accuracy. Thursday Dec. 12. Listen, live, at 9 p.m. EST.

Reflections of Mars
We've always been intrigued by the fanciful notion of "Men from Mars" who have traditionally been depicted anywhere from little green creatures to one of TV's favorite uncles. Claims Dr. Andrew Woldar, “If you ever want to see a true Martian you need look no further than your own mirror.” Join the doc, Skyler Hall and the Bard of Broadcasting as we discuss this and other fascinating topics from the world of science and the cosmos. Thursday Dec. 5. Listen, live, at 9 p.m. EST.
