Reality radio, continued
Your thoughts, your feelings, your lack of thoughts and feelings; your behavior, your actions and reactions and the affects of them on you, your thoughts and feelings. These things are the guidelines of our lives and on the Nov. 30 show we get another, exclusive, visit from Dr. Gary Popoli. And again he helps us understand the things that you cannot fathom from Dr. Phil. Plus, Dr. Gary is thinner and has more hair, not that it matters, but it makes for better radio.

The Monday muse
Now that you are done stuffing yourself and giving thanks for things, here is something you can stick in your craw (unless you ate all the craw and dressing last week, in which case just roll it around your tongue until the taste is gone).

Support Clancy's nuts
The Urban Dictionary, a web site with all the info bells and whistles, is a user-generated site. Much like Wikipedia, the Urban Dictionary asks readers and writers to submit slang with the user's definition.
Recently, based on our show's popularity and fervant word-of-mouth potency, we submitted the term "Clancy's nuts." This is what we delivered to the Urban Dictionary:
Clancy's nuts
A phrase meant to be used as a comparison for anything, with or without regard to the image itself. The phrase can be used in a comparison that makes sense to the literal meaning of the image--that is, there is a person named Clancy who has nuts (though "nuts" in itself can be interpreted as many things)--or in an abstraction.
It was raining harder than Clancy's nuts; The sky opened up like Clancy's nuts; I gotta pain that aches like Clancy's nuts; The man was as bald as Clancy's nuts; The woman had more shoes than Clancy's nuts; et al.
The submission was cancelled. Care to send an email to complain? We are addressing them now. You do the same; there should at least be a reason given why the term cannot be added.

Book notes
Many people, if not all of them, have inquired about a Cotolo Chronicles Compendium, which would be a book with many nouns. We are becoming serious about publishing such a volume soon or sooner if we install "spellcheck" on our software.
Meanwhile, for free, click here for a sample of a story that might appear in such a book, although we will do everything in our power to be sure that if the book is for sale it will include only fresh material.
Meanwhile, keep watching this blog as we urge you to be at the Nov. 23 program and find out exactly how you can become a podcasting star!

The big hurt
The Nov. 16 program addresses the waning span of Y2K+6 with a Neo-Post-Modernist overview of our times. Is the human race in for more pain, regardless of technological progress? And is technology itself keeping up with that possibility? "University of Utah researchers have harvested a substance from the venom of a cone snail that shows promise in treating some human pain."
And how is it that decades ago, in an analog-dominated world, Joe Federico was able to be hit in the head by a large truck and go unharmed? Svegli, esso e notte!

A pet story
I am contributing to Children's Book Week with a story that any child would love to read. I know it isn't a book, but it could easily be expanded into one or illustrations could be included to increase the page numbers. Anyway, it is a wonderful story of a dog, his owner, firemen and ... but hey, I don't want to give the whole story away. Click here to read it.

Word play
It is time to celebrate Children's Book Week. It is an annual event held Nov. 13-19; this year it takes place in 2006.
The theme of Children's Book Week is More Books, Please! Public libraries, schools, bookstores and families across the country have scheduled special activities, all centered around--you guessed it--children's books.
Children's Book Week is administered by the Children's Book Council (CBC). If you need ideas, see the CBC's 25 Ideas for Celebrating Children's Book Week.
Our program supports the engagement of adults in this campaign. Children should learn the importance, joy and benefit of learning to read often.

Better than the best
What you see is always said to be much more than what you get. No matter the product, the gadget, the service or the scam, something does say lovin' better than something in the oven.
All you need to do to a Hula Chair (pictured) is wire it and it becomes an Electric Chair. Meanwhile, according to the sales pitch on this, "there's no better way to warm up for any activity." As we all know, the Hula Chair is "the biggest sensation to hit the continent!"
Peruse the outrageous claims to outrageous gadgets here. And listen to the Nov. 9 show for more about jumping higher and walking faster, becoming the envy of your office, making your weekend at the lake a big ego trip and, of course, relieving the daily stress of gravity.

The needs of the many ...
You need a UltraPower Zipping LED Forever Flashlight, a Motorless Sweeper, Catapult Shoes, a Delux Yoga Stand, a Secret Age Spy Ear, a Revolving Sweeper, Military Zoom Binoculars, a Magic Wallet, a Human-Feel Leg Massager, a Hula Chair, Love Rings and a Orbitor Electronic Listening Device. But you don't need that Orbitor Electronic Listening Device to hear the Nov. 9 program. We are here live at the usual link. Join me and learn what gadgets you need and why you need them as I explore items on the newest list of digital-age gadget products.

Inspect a gadget
What is it? If you knew, would you be able to use it? Do you think it looks cool, whatever it is? Would you use it with a member of the opposite sex or not? Does it have a motor or is it a wind-up deal or is it run by batteries? Does it move at all?
Would you use it indoors or outdoors? How many do you think you should have? Would you consider giving it to someone as a gift? How would you wrap it? Does it come assembled or do you have to put it together and if you have to put it together, in how many languages do you think the instructions are printed?
Our Nov. 9 program may answer some of these questions but more than that, we will investigate the current slew of new gadgets available along with all of the marketing lies used to sell them.

Oh vote-e-oh-doe ...
Today is Election Day in the United States. Chances are excellent that you live in a state where there is someplace to vote. Exercise your right to vote today, especially since tomorrow it will be too late to vote.
The democratic act of voting does not mean you have to vote for a Democrat. Voting is also an act of the republic, or a republican act. But there are more than two parties in the United States and there is the option of writing in a candidate, a he or she or a fictional character not running for any office. You can even vote for yourself for any political office available on the ballot. What more could you ask for when voting?
So take the time and vote for someone real, someone fake or yourself. This is what freedom is all about, even though you can't shout "Fire" in a crowded movie theater (or for that matter, in an empty movie theater [but one wonders, if someone shouts "Fire" in an empty movie theater and no one hears it, is that abusing freedom of speech?] ).

Everybody's talkin'
It's the first Friday of the month and that means it is time for Cotolo Monthly.
It's a talk magazine with alternative broadcasting's veteran mouth at the helm, as the pilot, your guide, host and usher. But more than that, it's an interactive show where the audience is the engine. Talk to Cotolo through your AIM, YAHOO or MSN. Ask questions, suggest topics, share recipes, talk about what you are thinking and feeling.
It's exclusively on Wild Bunch Radio. Tonight, 8 p.m. EST.
