Modernizing Babe

I have calculated that if Babe Ruth had been injected with the substance that is the topic of Congressional hearings this week, The Bambino would have hit 2,358 home runs the year he set the homerun record. And the next ten years he would have averaged 2,010 a season. This means that by the time Barry Bonds was able to break the record of 2,358 home runs, he would have broken it by at least 2,000 home runs.

Our host lends a rare opinion on such matters. Click here to read it.

Thanks to Phil Hong and SRN for taking care of the Feb. 14 broadcast. We return live on Feb. 21.
