Not naked, just dead

It is a sad day, though I have a good appetite and that's nothing to ignore. But my good friend Norman Mailer is dead. He died at 84 and I missed an opportunity to say goodbye to the great author I knew --a very different man from the man now being eulogized.
So I have written about it and you can read my piece here and here and here and even here as I ponder the skyline of New York and the shadows of literary clouds that shade the dirty river and embrace the ghost of Abe Beame.
