Not naked, just dead

It is a sad day, though I have a good appetite and that's nothing to ignore. But my good friend Norman Mailer is dead. He died at 84 and I missed an opportunity to say goodbye to the great author I knew --a very different man from the man now being eulogized.
So I have written about it and you can read my piece here and here and here and even here as I ponder the skyline of New York and the shadows of literary clouds that shade the dirty river and embrace the ghost of Abe Beame.

Beautiful, pensive, thoughtful photo, Frank. Perfect for the sentiment of this blog ;-)
Frank - Beautiful, if not sentimental, photo ;-)
