The Caine mutiny

The Shortstop presents Cotolo Chronicles around the world
Thursdays: 2-4 a.m. UK, 9-11 p.m. EDT, 3-5 a.m. CET

Shannon Caine (pictured) appears on the Aug. 16 show. Teacher, author, performance artist, poet, film-maker, musician, historian; Shannon is the definition of eclectic. She begins talking about Sacred Harp Singing, a truly American antique form of music from the late 1700s and 1800s. Today, 23 states host Sacred Harp conventions, some of which draw hundreds of people. From there, Shannon takes us on a trip through the museum of her consciousness, an abstract look at mainstream American art.
