Happy holiday, my Jewish friends

Tomorrow night is the next Cotolo Chronicles. Tonight begins the high holy days for my Jewish friends. I sometimes feel I am more Jewish at heart than anything else, mostly because their holidays are more dramatic and colorful than all other religions. Today is also the official beginning of autumn. I sometimes feel that I am more in touch with autumn than with all the other seasons because autumn is so, well, so Jewish.

Today’s highly controversial question is: If you were Phil Spector, would you kill yourself? Chronicles polled 4,343 people, asking for yes-or-no answers. Here are some of the results.

Madonna is reportedly going to the Holy Land. A student of Jewish mysticism, old cone tits was headed to Israel on a spiritual quest for the Jewish New Year, which begins at sundown today. We apologize to all Jewish people for the inconvenience.

U2 is among the nominees for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, proving again that the Hall is a trite, useless and demeaning part of the great music’s history.

Vivendi's recovery is almost complete, the French media and telecommunications giant that brought down the remaining pillars of mp3.com reports. Despite a massive second-quarter net loss which the company claims is bloated by the effects of the weaker U.S. dollar, the giant corporate structure that is partially responsible for the sad state of popular music today will stay in business.

Cotolo Chronicles can be heard every Thursday night at 9 p.m. EST on the internet
