Comparametric equations, maybe?

A great controversy may be the topic of Sept. 16’s Chronicles. Often, it is argued that hidden within the flow of signals from typical cameras, through image processing, to display media, is a homomorphic filter. But is there? Is homomorphic filtering desirable, and when are there occasions where it is not?
I have always said that cancellation of this implicit homomorphic filter must include the introduction of an anti-homomorphic filter. It is a concept that suggests the principle of quantigraphic image processing, and, obviously, brings about the idea that a linearly responsive to a semi-monotonic function of the quantity of light received, integrated over a fixed spectral response profile, might be questioned.
Is this quantity radiometric nor photometric? And what about the spectral response of the sensor elements?

I don't know what you just said, but I'll definitely be listening with my beverage of choice. I can't tell you with any certainty what that will be because I'll choose later. It might be some Apple Kiwi Strawberry juice; or some plain seltzer with chocolate italian syrup (love those chocolate italians!); or maybe some chilled and filtered tap water. Ya never know 'til ya know!
